Our Values / Faith

Our Church teaches that we should be actively involved in good projects that encourage family and community, service and education. LDS Church leaders have specifically encouraged Members to use the internet as a tool to lift others and spread good.

We are a largely LDS organization. The founder and first prophet of the LDS Church, Joseph Smith, taught that as Saints we ought to have the building up of Zion as our greatest object. At the WRI, our Mission Statement reads: "Building Zion- Across the West". Our Mormon heritage, and the good our prophets encourage us to do, are very important to us. We hope that many of our projects will be embraced by good people of all faiths.

Though we seek to guard mainstream Mormon values, our organization is not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in any way. The concepts on this website are dear to most of the LDS community, however, the views or opinions expressed on this website are not endorsed by the Church or its leadership.

As with all faithful members of the LDS Church, we believe in a living prophet and seek to live by his inspired counsel. To learn more about the LDS Church or about Latter-Day Prophets and Apostles we encourage guests to visit the official websites of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints:
